A little bit of Wren History

Wren Classics Ltd was Established in 1993 by Steve Farthing the Managing Director who started out in the competitive world of Karting in 1972 continuing through to 1975 during which time he achieved many successes including the South West Junior Championship and was 12th in the Junior World Cup. In 1976 he moved on to racing cars and the Clubmans Supersport Championship where he achieved Novice Car Racer of the Year in a Mallock U2 Mark 16B following this in 1977-78 driving for Reynard Racing Cars European Distributors, and several drives in a Super V.- a lack of sponsorship forcing his racing retirement in 1978.

Having learnt the need for perfection through the race car industry, Steve then carried forward this ethos when he turned his hand to restoration and preparation, working on a variety of marques, including Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini and culminating in a Chevron B26 – 2 Litre Sportscar, which he restored and raced. From its inception in 1993 the Company workshops have specialised in Aston Martin due to the previous factory training and experience of the workforce. This has continued since 2018 when lead technician Andrew Verran joined the team, Andrew has over 15 years experience with Aston Martins and a wide range of other marques. Due to customer demand for service and race preparation, the Specialist work has now extended to Ferrari, Jaguar and sports prototypes.
